What's Going to Be at the Fall Fundraiser?

Do you love excellent D.C. musicians, exceptional contemporary art, complimentary drinks and food, mixing with creative people, and the thrills of a silent auction? Then the Fall Fundraiser this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Foundry Gallery is definitely for you!

What's going to be at the Fall Fundraiser this year? We're glad you asked.

The night will kick off with a fantastic set played by Dawkins, a local D.C. underground music favorite. Dawkins creates dramatic soundscapes that are all at once woozy, beachy, lush, and hypnotic. Incorporating elements of jazz, psych-rock and hip-hop, they strive to make enjoyably disorienting music that "hits you in the head like a brick made of delicious candy." Often seen at the Otherfeels basement in Mt. Pleasant, Dawkins was also recently featured at 9:30 Club’s event Next Up. Check out this great Washington Post story on the group from this summer!

You’ll also get a chance to experience the excellent art exhibits currently displayed at Foundry Gallery. Foundry’s October exhibition features works by Charlene Nield and Ann Pickett in “The Usual Suspects.” We highly recommend checking out this sneak peek of the exhibit.

The highlight of the event however is our silent auction and the exciting creative offerings that will be available. Who doesn’t love the drama and fun of silent auctions?

A glimpse at some of the items up for bid include: tickets to a National Symphony Orchestra concert of your choice with complimentary cocktails and access to the Kennedy Center's exclusive Circles Lounge, tickets to a performance of your choosing during Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company’s 17/18 season, dual membership at The Phillips Collection, tickets to see Open Box (an interdisciplinary performance at Dupont Underground), tickets to performances by Pinky Swear Productions and Theatre Prometheus, passes to the Washington Jewish Film Festival, and many more!

A few more of our Silent Auction donors.

You won’t want to miss this opportunity to score some great auction items and to also get to know DC arts and culture leaders in our community. Enjoy the open bar (score!), yummy snacks, good conversation, and live music while supporting the emerging arts leaders in your community!

Tickets $20 ($25 starting on 10/20) at eals2017fundraiser.eventbrite.com
